01
Why Saudi Arabia breaks standard fabrics
Saudi Arabia's climate is not one climate — it's at least four. Riyadh operates at 50°C dry heat with abrasive dust (السموم). Jeddah runs at 38°C with 90%+ relative humidity and salt-air corrosion (النوّة). The Eastern Province adds chloride-heavy industrial atmospheres near petrochemical zones. Abha sits at 2,200m elevation with cooler temperatures and rain (أجواء العسير). A fabric that performs well in Jeddah may degrade in Dammam. A breathable weave designed for Riyadh may not handle Jeddah's moisture load. This is why UNEOM doesn't sell "one fabric fits all" — we test every option against the operating conditions of the specific city where it will be worn.
02
The in-house textile lab
Our textile lab runs 7 core tests on every candidate fabric: (1) Weight-per-square-metre — verified against supplier spec, ±3% tolerance. (2) Colour fastness to washing — ISO 105-C06, minimum grade 4. (3) Colour fastness to light — ISO 105-B02, minimum grade 4. (4) Tensile strength — ASTM D5034, minimum thresholds per fabric type. (5) Pilling resistance — ISO 12945-2, minimum grade 3 after 5,000 cycles. (6) Moisture management — AATCC 195, wicking and drying rates measured for Saudi heat profiles. (7) Antimicrobial efficacy (healthcare fabrics) — AATCC 100, tested at 0, 30, and 80 wash cycles. Fabrics that pass all 7 tests enter our active rotation library. Currently 40+ fabrics qualify.

How you choose — the fabric consultation
We present a curated shortlist — not a 200-page swatch book. Based on your industry, operating city, wash frequency, and budget, we narrow the selection to 3–5 recommended fabrics with physical swatches and a performance comparison table. The table includes wash-cycle durability, breathability rating, cost per unit, and warranty coverage for each option. You choose, we execute. If you need to test before committing, we produce a 10-unit pilot in your chosen fabric and let your team wear-test it for 30 days before proceeding with the full order.
